Law Of Attraction (LOA)
Getting What You Want Out of life

The Spiritual Laws of the Universe

The law of Attraction is a very old principle. Basically it states that we attract to ourselves what our minds
focus on. The implications of this law are staggering. Just think of what it could mean to one’s life. What if a
person could receive anything in life he/she wanted only by focusing his/her mind on receiving it. It is true, it can
happen. However there are some things to think about, the laws and the responsibilities that go along with
creating your own reality.

Egregors are specific thought patterns that exist in the collective unconscious of humankind. There is the larger
collective unconscious and within that collectiveness there are smaller collectives shared by groups of people.
The smaller collectives are the egregors.

All people seek out the greatest amount of pleasure in life they can. This common seeking of pleasure is a
the theme of the collective unconscious. Then, within the collective unconscious, there are egregors.  There are
good egregors such as those who want to save the whales  and those who want to help the disabled, those who
want to help wounded veterans. Those who work as volunteers for charitable organization, and those who work
with people with disability or developmental disabilities. There are also negative egregors such as that if  drug
addicts. They seek pleasure in their lives by using drugs. Eventually the pleasure tunes into physical dependence.
In the end, those who become addicted to drugs seek drugs, therefore the minds of drug addicts share an
unconscious egregor. Alcoholics do the same with alcohol. Compulsive gamblers with gambling. Power addicts
also share the same egregor within the collective unconscious with other power addicts. This is why people of
like mind have like experiences. The following is an explanation of the laws and responsibilities

The law of Karma

The basics of karma, or The Law of Karma, are that our actions in the past are balanced out in our present and
future. Karma is neither good nor bad, it just is. It is compensation for past actions and only actions can change
the present and future.

Action is the key word. One must take action to make things change for one’s self. One can think about how
one wants to live, or one can focus on how one wants to live and take the actions needed to make the change
happen. Nothing just appears out of nowhere.

I was a drunk and a drug addict for most of my life. I never started working on changing myself until the mid 90’
s. I was proud of my drunken arrogance. I was proud of my opinions. I even wrote for a college paper in the op
ed section. I thought I was hot stuff. I did not have any perspective on myself compared to the truly gifted
writers who researched facts and wrote real stories, and had intelligent, fact based opinions.

I took the courses in college that I wanted to take. I wasted 5 years in college. I learned a lot but I am having to
pay for those actions now. I am now in school part time trying to earn a BS degree in Human Services. I will be
finished with my upper level courses before I finish my lower level credits. It will be two more years of taking the
math and science courses I avoided. I am having to pay for my arrogance.

Many people wonder why bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. The
answer, in part, is compensation for what has gone on in the past and The Law of Attraction. However, if a bad
person is receiving good things through unscrupulous means there will be a price to pay, just as a good person
receives bad experiences balancing  the scales from the past. It is not good or bad, really, it just is.

The key to the Law of Karma is knowledge of it and learning patience. Sometimes it is a patience that endures
from lifetime to lifetime; patience of the soul. The Soul is ever lasting. It was created in the beginning from the
stuff of the cosmic intelligence and will exist until it re unifies with the cosmic intelligence. The reunification
happens when all the karmic debts have been paid and the lessons have all been learned and applied.

Here we go into a bit of creational cosmology. In the beginning was the cosmic intelligence. There was nothing
else. The cosmic intelligence is the stuff of the universe that existed before time began in this age, the age of the
present universe as it exists today. The cosmic created all from itself including our souls. By cosmological
processes and evolution everything developed until the bodies on earth became prepared to receive a soul.

The created souls had one purpose. The purpose was to receive from the cosmic intelligence. The souls saw
what was on the earth and wanted to experience the wonders that had been created. As the souls started
incarnating into the bodies that had been prepared for them they found that they were limited by the physical
senses. The souls experienced this through the bodies that had evolved five senses and the intelligence to be able
to interpret the sensations received through the nervous system.

After a soul experiences all the fragile bodies can experience it returns to a place where it waits for another body
to be born or becomes available for incarnation. Through the new body the soul experiences new sensations and
applies what it has learned from past incarnations.

In each incarnation cycle the soul chooses the circumstances it will be born into. This occurs because
when the soul is waiting it is beyond what we call space and time. All realities appear before the soul and the
soul chooses the reality it wants to experience. This is the really interesting part. The soul, after it awakens in the
body through much experience and introspection begins to be able to consciously create its reality as it goes on
a personal level.

This is where the Law of Karma takes affect. The Law of Karma is the balancing of the scales. It can be called
the force of justice in the universe. The soul experiences good or ill according to how it has used the knowledge
it has gained from past experiences. The soul can get stuck in physical sensation and stop developing, or it can
choose to see beyond the physical experience to experience the bigger picture, life as it really is and not just the
life it wants to see. Think of Karma as the weight that balances the scale. It is not good or bad it just is.

Reincarnation

The soul that gets stuck in receiving physical pleasure stops developing. It gets stuck. In the language of
addiction this is called a developmental delay. The soul stops growing. As long as the soul is obsessed with
experiencing physical pleasure it focuses on receiving that particular pleasure. This is the reason for so many
substance and behavioral related addictions. Souls like this will often replace one addiction with another in its
search to find the ultimate pleasure. It is stuck in a vicious cycle. The more physical pleasure it experiences the
more it wants to experience. Its will to receive starts to run rampant. It is a vicious cycle that brings no true
happiness.

As long as the soul is stuck in receiving physical pleasure it draws to itself, by the law of Attraction, those things
which bring it physical pleasure. The soul becomes deluded into thinking it has found what it has been looking
for. The body takes over the soul’s ability to direct the play of life. The body loses touch with the spiritual reality
and the pleasures of being at one with the creator.

As long as the soul allows itself to be led by the body it will keep experiencing the same experiences over and
over along with the good and bad consequences that go along with the path that the body has chosen. The body
draws to itself what it most wants which is the kind of physical pleasure that it has grown accustomed to. This
goes on and on until the soul awakens from its sleep in the body. At some point the soul gets bored with the
constant battle to receive physical pleasure that can never be sated and realizes that it must seek pleasure from a
different source.

The former is where the search for true happiness begins. The soul starts to direct the body intermittently. It, the
soul, is still accustomed to receiving physical pleasure so it alternates between learning a new way of life that is
more fulfilling and the old patterns of behavior. It takes time and preparation for the soul to be willing to give up
the physical and focus on the spiritual. That does not mean that a person gives up all material comforts and
walks around in a robe. It means that he/she has learned what brings lasting happiness and seeks out those kinds
of experiences.

The former is why good things happen to bad people and vice versa. As the soul learns, just like a child, it needs
encouragement to keep receiving. This is why there is an inner conflict with the will to receive a lasting pleasure
and the seeking to keep experiencing physical pleasures. It is the conflict between that which is positive and that
which is negative as far as spiritual development is concerned. The soul either uses or misuses the knowledge
that it brings to the body. Using the knowledge properly corrects the soul’s intentions and brings spiritually
pleasant experiences that get stored away in the soul’s memory, the unconscious part of the mind. Mind id the
ethereal part of the consciousness not the brain. The misuse of knowledge attained through previous incarnations
may bring one material pleasure in this life but there is always a price to pay later on.

Through the aforementioned process the soul is preparing itself to receive the greatest amount of lasting
pleasure. This means that the soul has to complete, step by step, the learning process intended by the cosmic
intelligence. That is not to say that there is a micro plan for each individual soul but more of a macro plan for all
souls. God is both nature and a part from nature. God is nature in that God created all the natural laws that the
world and us evolve by. God is also a part from nature in that God separated himself from nature, and us in
order that we learn what it is to be like him.

As the souls become aware of this plan they start to come together. They start to create a new consciousness.
The Law of Attraction’s principle function is like attracting like, that which is focused upon is that which is drawn
into the developing soul’s experience. Those who are in tune with each other achieve similar experiences. Those
who seek material wealth share a consciousness. Those who seek power have a shared consciousness. Those
who seek spirituality share a consciousness.

The soul knows what it needs to develop and follows the course and joins the consciousness that most closely
resembles its own needs, the egregor spoken of earlier.

The awakening is only the beginning of development. Once awakened the soul needs to seek those experiences
that cause it to develop in the proper direction, that of correction. However who is to say which direction is the
proper direction. Only the cosmic knows this, and since the soul was once part of the cosmic then the soul,
deep within, also knows what it needs to develop.

Anyone who states or implies that their way is the correct way is trapped by egoism. Egoism is the greatest
force to be reckoned with. We all seek perfection. We all seek to be acknowledged for our attainment of these
principles. Sometimes we, our souls, can get trapped in the egoism of focusing on spiritual development that we
see as separate from the development of others.. Do we seek the ego boost of being right or do we seek to
develop without the need for recognition? What is the soul’s intention?

In reality we chose the situations we would live in the beginning of each earthly life cycle. We Know, on a very
deep level who we will come into contact with and therefore we learn from each other all the time. The oldest
and most eloquent souls can still learn from the basest and least developed souls. There are an infinite number of
realities to experience and denying the reality of another soul’s experience only serve to limit what can be
learned from a life’s experience.

Here begins the final step in the correction process. The final step is learning to put the egoistic desires into
perspective with the cosmic intelligence. The final correction is the perspective of realizing who we are as co-
creators of our own reality by seeking the correct consciousness for our own development, and the seeking to
assuage our egoistic desires. The important thing to remember is that sometimes what was begun in a past life
continues into this one, and what is begun in this life may continue into the next. It depends on the development
of the soul.

The Law of Preparation

Since we are the creators of our own reality we must take into consideration each principle written about above.
We must consider karma, the law of attraction, and the law of preparation. We may be trying to live a life where
we attract material pleasure but we must be cognizant that karma can affect the time period in which out desires
are realized. We also must be prepared, on the level of the soul, to receive that which we are focused on
receiving. In other words one needs to develop a step by step plan and patiently wait as each step prepares one
for the next reality in life.

Gratitude is a responsibility If one is not truly grateful for what one has he/she will not receive any more.
Gratitude is important because it keeps one in proper perspective of God and gods. If one can not be grateful to
God then how can he be grateful god. I love the semantics here. God and god. God being God created the
universe and you. god, you, create your reality with your thoughts and plans. This is the great thing about being
an actualized human, one who is able to be truly grateful for what he has. Gratitude is being thankful to God for
making you a god, a co creator with him in how your life is lived. True, we are all restrained by karma in what
we are allowed to receive but we have no choice but to work for a better life. What work is not completed in
this life will be completed in the next.

finally we come to the responsibility to practice humility. Humility does not seek to receive in return, it is happy
to give in any way that it can. Humility does not point out how good it is or tell others how much good work one
has done. Humility is always grateful. Humility does not get offended. Humility seems like a lost trait in today's
world. Everyone is rushing around blaming everyone else for the problems in the world while pointing out how
selfless they are in helping others to see the errors in their ways. Humility takes responsibility for all the problems
it faces in life, and it recognizes rather quickly when it is wrong. Humility helps us keep perspective on just how
both important and unimportant we are. We are important in that we are unique creations of God, and that we
are gods ourselves.  However, Humility also recognizes that we are gods that were created by God and that
God is more than we can ever conceive of. Humility keeps us in our place.

Karma is important in that we can not get away from it. Our past, good or ill, will always affect our present and
future. Reincarnation is important in that we can start right now to make life better in the long run. What is begun
in this life can be continued in the next. What has gone on in a past life can come to fruition now. Preparation is
important in that if one is not prepared with the knowledge and attitude to receive what is offered then one will
probably misuse the knowledge with a bad attitude. There must also be gratitude. One will not get more until
one is truly grateful for what one has. Finally we have humility. Humility helps us keep perspective on who God
is and who god is. Humility helps us to seek that which is best for others without wanting something for
ourselves that is greater than what we have given.
